For Immediate Release – May 9, 2025 – Chicago, IL – Worldwide sales agent, production entity and distribution company Baby Monster Media has tapped the inspiring new documentary, UNCLE GEORGE: THE MUSIC MAN for international sales ahead of Cannes. Starring Common, Akon, Mathew Knowles, Deon Cole, Daymond John, LisaRaye McCoy, Paula Newsome, and A.J. Calloway—with narration by the legendary Jonathan “Sway” Calloway—the film is a stirring tribute to one of Black music’s most influential, yet unsung, heroes.
Uncle George: The Music Man shines a long-overdue spotlight on George Daniels, the iconic music retailer and cultural gatekeeper behind George’s Music Room in Chicago, where for over 50 years served as a “must-stop” destination for recording artists, music executives, and fans alike. From Beyoncé to Common, George supported generations of talent, often before they became household names. The film captures how George’s fearless advocacy, industry savvy, and unapologetic style helped elevate Black-owned music retail and transform careers.
Sales are being handled by Baby Monster Media’s Franzi Schissler and Justin Price.
